'Gal'-entine's Day Gift Bags

There's no better way to tell your best girl-friends you love them by giving them an adorable Gal-entine's Day gift.

What are the three guaranteed things your BFF will love? Chocolate, makeup, and a brunch buddy (e.g. a mini bottle of bellini or mimosa).  Check out my steps below to put together the cutest gift your girl's will receive all season.


For this gift I'm using:

• Mini bottles of Bellini from Eataly
• A fun straws from Michael's
• Hershey's Truffle Kisses
• Revlon Matte Lip Gloss in Seduction
• Heart-print cellophane bags from Target
• White curling ribbon

First, place the Bellini bottle in the cellophane bag to weight it down, then fill the bottom of the bag with the Hershey's kisses.

Once you have the bag anchored down, secure the straw and lip gloss into the candy.  I chose a universally flattering pinky-nude lip gloss in a matte finish, but please have fun with what you choose!  It's easy to make this gift more personalized by picking a fun lip color, sparkly nail polish, or a little bottle of bubble bath.

To finish it up, gather the top of the bag and tie it up with some curling ribbon and curl the life out of it.

Who Am I?

I was raised on Henry.  Henry Street that is.  I grew up in a small, Midwestern town with a huge love of fashion, decorating, art, food, family, and crafting (thanks mom).

After college, where I studied marketing and finance, I moved to the lovely city of Chicago.  I now work in the tech industry surrounded by incredibly talented marketers of all kinds.  Even though I get to do something I love everyday, I love giving advice those favorite things I listed above.  When I find a new beauty project, a favorite outfit, a new house decoration, or a delicious recipe I have to tell someone.  And that's where this blog comes in.  This blog will be my outlet for telling the world about the great ideas and findings that make me happy, and hopefully make you equally happy.
